A Year in Pictures & Thoughts... May

May started just as busy as April ended.  On May 2, I played in a field hockey tournament at Davidson College.  We played some college teams and some adult teams (mostly college teams though).  We should've been undefeated but weren't...  Still soooo much fun!  It kinda gave me a glance into what it would be like to have actually taken the scholarship and played in college.

I "participated" in a busking (street art) documentary.  Well, really, I was just there and hanging with my friend C who was doing art on the street for it.  It was a cool thing to see so many street artists/performers lining the streets of Uptown in Charlotte.

I continued horseback riding lessons weekly.  I was cantering, trotting, and some other fun stuff.

My little kids ran from Charlotte to Washington D.C. (theoretically;  they ran the 433 miles as they ran around the gym every day).  We had field day at the end of May.  Their team name was the Parakeets (little Parrotheads!).  I taught them all about Jimmy Buffett, his music, and the lead-back attitude. It was the last full month of school.

For Memorial Day, Jenn and our friend Dean and I went on a kayak trip down the Catawba River to the largest "colony" of spider lilies in the world.  It was a lot of fun and very cool!

Throughout May, I ran about 6 miles with my coworker Lisa every Wednesday, mountain bike 10 miles and ran 3-5 miles almost every other day.  Holy Yoga still was the highlight of my week and the thing that kept me sane and giving me peace.
