A Year in Pictures & Thoughts... February

February is when God decided that it was time I get "moving"... He was trying to move me and I wasn't budging.  I first learned about Holy Yoga from a Facebook status from a friend from church.  For some reason, it stuck in my head.  And then it stuck in my heart.  I started going on February 5th...

I went hiking with Kim to Crowder's Mountain.

I was the Equestrian Club coordinator for our school.  I cantered for the first time in February.  I had forgotten how much I loved horseback riding until I started lessons again.

I joined the Parrothead Club of Charlotte.  I was looking for new friends and something to do.  Who doesn't like Jimmy Buffett and parties and drinking (well, I gave that up)!!  So, these people became some of my really good friends.  And, again, little did they know, they were helping me through a very rough time in life.  And, little did I know, how close our circles were and would become...

I had broken my wrist in December at self defense class but waited til February to get it checked out (I couldn't play field hockey if I went and had to have a cast!).  Doctors said it wasn't broken (well, of course after 2 months it wouldn't be).  But they gave me a brace to wear for a while.  I don't think it ever really healed right.  Luckily, it didn't hurt anymore than normal when I did yoga, painted, knit, or played field hockey.

2 months of no alcohol.  Kinda weird being a Parrothead who doesn't drink...  :)
