I spent a lot of time training Finley. I didn't want my dog (who was estimated to be about 100-120lbs at full grown) to be out of control! He was doing well. Learning to sit, stay, leave it, drop it, come. He enjoyed having me at home for 2 weeks while I was on Christmas break. He got to go to the dog park for the first time. We made several visits there. He loves it. But, the people there are crazy!
My good friends Kim & Jeff had their baby at the end of November. I finally got to meet her in December (thanks to being away for Thanksgiving and then being sick). She was a little peanut (5lbs 2 oz when I met her)! But so cute!
I went to PA for Christmas. Ended up being there about 5 days. The whole family was there plus Kort's dog... packed house. It wasn't too bad... better than I expected. Fin got into his dog food on Christmas Day when we were at my grandparents and ate WAY TOO MUCH. He was sick for the rest of the night and the next morning... Kort's dog ate rat poison and almost died and had to have an emergency vet visit and get on meds. I played in the first annual Chambersburg Field Hockey alumni and current players game. I was the oldest (other than Coach Amsley) by about 8 years... college seniors. And, yes, I kept up with those high school and college players. I was disappointed that no one else my age came to play...
I spent New Years Eve with my friends Chris and Robert. We knit, spun yarn, and just hung out. A very chill way to end 2011. Glad to start a new year...
